About the Role: Are you an experienced paratransit operator who loves the industry but is tired of the physical strain? Skip the physical wear and tear, loading passengers, and dealing with night traffic. Put your real-world route knowledge and communication skills to work from the comfort of a dispatch office. We are a unique transit operation seeking a reliable, seasoned driver to transition into a permanent Dispatcher role. You will earn a premium wage of $24.00/hr working a consistent, full-time schedule of four 10-hour shifts per week. No heavy lifting or driving required.

What You Will Do:

Direct Fleet Operations: Monitor, coordinate, and dispatch night-shift drivers using modern transit software.

Driver Support: Act as the primary lifeline for drivers on the road, troubleshooting route issues and providing clear assistance.

Client & Driver Communication: Handle incoming calls and texts professionally, ensuring accurate information is logged and relayed.

Maintain Digital Logs: Keep precise, real-time records of vehicle locations, shift handoffs, and trip statuses.

What We Are Looking For:

Proven Driving Background: Solid experience operating transit vans, paratransit vehicles, or buses. You understand what it is like on the road.

Strong Local Geography Knowledge: Deep familiarity with Allegheny County routes and local traffic patterns.

Comfortable with Digital Tools: Ability to confidently use computers, routing software, tablets, and digital messaging tools.

Reliable & Independent: A dependable professional who thrives working autonomously during evening hours.
