WORK SCHEDULE
Typically, 8:00AM - 4:30PM, Monday through Friday. This position is exempt according to FLSA regulations. Travel is primary local during the business day

JOB DESCRIPTION
The CFAO is a key leadership role reporting to the CEO in the areas of Finance, Compliance/Risk Management, Procurement, and Human Resources requiring strong problem-solving skills and analysis of organizational impact. As a member of the senior management team, the CFAO will be involved in strategic planning and its execution to meet organizational goals.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Direct supervision of Finance, Compliance/Risk Management, Procurement, and Human Resources Departments.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Lead Organizational Culture Change to focus on GRTC’s people-first mission.
  • Foster a success-oriented, accountable environment within the organization.
  • Participate in the development of the corporation's plans and programs as a strategic partner.
  • Plan, develop, organize, implement, direct and evaluate the organization's fiscal, administrative and regulatory function and performance.
  • Enhance and/or develop, implement and enforce policies and procedures of the organization by way of systems that will improve the overall safety, operation, and effectiveness of the organization
  • Evaluate and advise on the impact of programs, strategies, regulatory actions and give financial perspective on any contracts into which GRTC may enter.
  • Establish credibility throughout the organization and with the Board as an effective developer of solutions to business challenges.
  • Evaluate the finance department structure and team plan for continual improvement of the efficiency and effectiveness of the group as well as provide individuals with professional and personal growth.
  • Provide timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financial reports and financial trends in order to assist the CEO, the Board and other senior executives in performing their responsibilities.
  • Provide up to date analysis, technical financial advice, continual improvement of budgeting processes and knowledge to internal and external team members and stakeholders.
  • Provide strategic financial input and leadership on decision making issues affecting the organization especially using the principles of managerial accounting.
  • Create, monitor, and manage operations budget.
  • Develop a reliable cash flow projection process and reporting mechanism that includes minimum cash threshold to meet operating needs.

Education and/or Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, or related field is required. MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of strong financial, regulatory, and administrative experience or any equivalent combination of training and experience is required.
  • Strong analytical skills (both qualitative and quantitative), ability to identify key points, trends, and develop summary of findings. High proficiency in Microsoft Suite applications.
