Transit Administrator

Salary Range: $75,900 - $100,750

Summary
Provides administration and oversight for all city transit operations and related financial and grant activities including coordination with other City departments, Marion County, the Federal Transit Administration, and the Florida Department of Transportation. This position will also monitor all capital projects, daily operations, and the operating contract with city’s transit operation provider.

Requirements
Requires a bachelor’s degree in business, public administration, accounting, finance, or a related field and five years of experience working with local, state, and federal grants and an understating of governmental accounting principles. Familiarity with Federal, State, and local laws and regulations governing public transit system operations and transportation grant funding as well as with modern transit system operating principles and practices is highly desirable. An equivalent combination of training and experience may be considered.
