Vehicle Maintenance Supervisor

Summary
Under direction of the Vehicle Maintenance Manager, the Vehicle Maintenance Supervisor position is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of a rail vehicle maintenance operation. This is done by coordinating, supervising and evaluating the activities of the vehicle maintenance staff.

This position will be responsible for the assignment of work including scheduled, non-scheduled, regulated, and emergency repairs. This position will provide hands on supervision of the vehicle maintenance technician staff. This position will be responsible for work activities primarily on the Swing and Grave shifts, weekends, and holidays to ensure safe and efficient transportation to the public. This position is a working supervisor position with supervisory and limited budgetary responsibility.

Qualifications, Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

Minimum Qualifications:
Must possess a high school diploma, GED or recognized equivalent, supplemented by specialized training or vocational training in vehicle maintenance/mechanics or a related field.

Minimum five years’ experience as a vehicle maintenance mechanic/technician in a rail vehicle maintenance environment, including two (2) years of technical lead experience.

Base hourly wage: $61.67 - $77.09 per hour.
