Product Manager

Sportworks is seeking a Product Manager who thrives at the intersection of customer insight, technical complexity, and strategic decision-making, with a passion for multimodal transportation.

This role owns the product roadmap and leads the development of a world-class portfolio that drives growth, strengthens market leadership, and delivers meaningful customer value by balancing continuous product improvements with bold innovation.

Operating in a complex, multi-stakeholder environment, you'll align the needs of cyclists, product owners, purchasers, vehicle manufacturers, and AEC decision-makers. Our portfolio includes hardware-based bicycle parking and transport solutions that are evolving from primarily mechanical products to integrated electrical and connected systems in partnership with our digital product team.

As the leader of product strategy, go-to-market execution, and customer experience, you'll define product vision, align cross-functional teams, and deliver scalable, customer-focused solutions.




What You'll Do

  • Lead the full product lifecycle for innovative bicycle parking and transport solutions.
  • Develop and execute a world-class product portfolio that supports growth and market leadership.
  • Partner across engineering, manufacturing, industrial design, sales, marketing, customer service, and finance.
  • Conduct customer interviews and market research to understand workflows, infrastructure requirements, constraints, and unmet needs.
  • Translate customer insights into product roadmaps, commercial strategy, and internal process improvements.
  • Review and approve engineering changes while ensuring technical accuracy across customer-facing materials.
  • Develop market segmentation, compelling value propositions, and differentiated product strategies.
  • Define product vision and strategic plans while solving complex portfolio challenges.
  • Own pricing, positioning, margins, product lifecycle management, revenue growth, and market share.
  • Serve as a technical resource for customers, sales, and service teams.
  • Plan and execute product demonstrations, trade shows, and customer events.
  • Create and maintain standard work for new product introductions, training, product lifecycle management, and obsolescence.
  • Represent Sportworks in industry standards development and rulemaking activities.
  • Develop strategic supplier and industry partnerships.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physical Sciences, Marketing, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of hardware product management experience.
  • Experience owning P&L performance, financial modeling, and forecasting.
  • Marketing and/or engineering experience managing multiple concurrent product lifecycles.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems, Salesforce, and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong customer focus with the ability to simplify complex technical issues and resolve challenging situations.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and project management skills.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Self-starter who is comfortable challenging the status quo and driving change.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in a Lean product development environment.
  • Experience with connected hardware and digital/SaaS-enabled products.


Travel & Physical Requirements

  • Domestic and international travel to customers, partners, and trade shows (approximately 5–12 trips annually).
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
