FORT WORTH, TEXAS — The board of directors for Trinity Metro voted unanimously Monday to extend President and CEO Richard Andreski’s contract for seven years, signaling strong support for the agency’s leadership as it pursues major transit expansion projects across Fort Worth and Tarrant County.

Andreski, who joined the agency four years ago, has overseen a period of growth and modernization that officials say has raised the profile of both Trinity Metro and Fort Worth within the national transit industry.
Among the agency’s most visible initiatives has been the rollout of Trinity Metro’s color-coded transit line system, designed to make routes easier for riders to identify and navigate. The program has been promoted as a way to simplify the system for both longtime riders and first-time users while highlighting the neighborhoods and corridors served by each route.
The agency is also preparing for several major infrastructure projects, including the planned TEXRail extension into Fort Worth’s Medical District and a double-track expansion of the Trinity Railway Express line. Officials say the projects are intended to improve regional mobility and accommodate continued population and economic growth in North Texas.
During Andreski’s tenure, Trinity Metro has also focused on improving the reliability and efficiency of its fixed-route bus service.
“Rich has brought bold vision, strong leadership and tremendous momentum to Trinity Metro,” board chair Jeff Davis said in a statement. “The board’s unanimous action tonight reflects our confidence in his leadership, the relationships he has cultivated throughout our region, and the exciting future ahead for Trinity Metro.”
Andreski said the agency’s progress has been driven by collaboration among staff, regional partners and local leaders.
“I’m honored by the trust the board has placed in me,” Andreski said. “The progress Trinity Metro has made over the last four years reflects an incredible team, strong partnerships across our region and a shared commitment to building a transit system that helps shape the future of Fort Worth and Tarrant County.”
The agency has also expanded its leadership team during Andreski’s tenure, combining national transit experience with local expertise in an effort to strengthen community partnerships and regional coordination.
Trinity Metro operates bus service, TEXRail, Trinity Railway Express commuter rail service, paratransit, microtransit, bike-sharing and vanpool programs throughout Fort Worth and Tarrant County. The agency also provides rail access to Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport through TEXRail and commuter rail connections between downtown Fort Worth and downtown Dallas via Trinity Railway Express.
