Trapeze promotes Paul Comfort to Chief Customer Officer and Senior Vice President

Host of 'Transit Unplugged' podcast and author of public transportation books will expand his role working with Trapeze customers.

Trapeze Group Americas has promoted transit industry veteran Paul Comfort to the position of Chief Customer Officer and Senior Vice President.

For the past 3 years, Comfort has served as Vice President of Business Development for Trapeze, helping the company to solidify and expand connections and collaboration with transit industry leaders. He has been instrumental in showcasing the human side of public transit, as evidenced in his conversations with top transit executives.

During his tenure with Trapeze, Comfort has launched "Transit Unplugged," the award-winning global podcast; hosted numerous CEO roundtables and webinars, including Trapeze’s ThinkTransit Executive Summits; visited with scores of Trapeze and TripSpark clients; and spoken at more than 100 conferences and events worldwide.

Comfort will continue to speak at industry conferences and serve as the Trapeze Group Americas representative at transit industry gatherings. He will ensure that transit trends and challenges are communicated throughout the Trapeze organization, while continuing to work closely with the sales, marketing and product development teams.

“I am excited to expand my role working with our customers at transit agencies and companies and helping to shine a spotlight on industry best practices and thought leadership,” Comfort said.

Comfort, the former CEO of the Maryland Transit Administration, has written two best-selling books on public transportation and serves as Executive Director for the North American Transit Alliance.
