NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT The Livermore Amador Valley Transit Authority (LAVTA) is seeking proposals from qualified firms (Proposers or Contractors) to provide for the operation and maintenance of its Wheels Fixed Route bus service (Services). LAVTA seeks proposals from qualified firms with strong experience in all aspects of fixed-route public transit bus operations and maintenance, including experienced personnel. LAVTA, subject to the Board of Directors’ approval, intends to award a three-year base term contract, with up to four additional one-year option terms, for Services to the successful Proposer. The successful Proposer will execute an Agreement for Services. Please refer to Appendix B. LAVTA intends to adhere to the following solicitation timeline, which is subject to change at LAVTA’s sole discretion: Solicitation Timeline RFP Issued | September 3, 2024 | Pre-Proposal Conference and Facility Tour (optional but highly recommended) | October 15, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. PDT | Questions and RFCs Due | October 29, 2024, prior to 4:00 p.m. PDT | Agency’s Response to Questions/RFCs | November 7, 2024, by end of business | Proposals Due | November 20, 2024, prior to 2:00 p.m. PST | Interviews | December 18-19, 2024 | Contract Award (tentative) | March 5, 2025 | Notice to Proceed (tentative) | April 1, 2025 | Proposals will be received by way of upload to Bonfire at the following link: https://lavta.bonfirehub.com until 2:00 p.m. Pacific Time on November 20, 2024. Hard copy submissions will NOT be accepted. Hard copies received will be returned (unopened) to Proposers without consideration.
