Transit Authority of River City (TARC) is seeking a professional, energetic and detail-oriented employee. Responsibilities include Preparing and Analyzing Financial Documents/Reports, Accounting Functions and Supervision of Payroll Personnel. Responsible for assisting the Grants Department with the Capital Budget and Grant reporting.

Duties Include:

• Perform Accounting Functions
• Fixed Asset Accounting
• Analyze Financial Data
• Generate Reports
• Prepare Audit and FTA Review Documents
• Supervise Payroll
• Assist Grants Department with Budget & Grant Reporting

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field; or any combination of training, education and experience in payroll, bookkeeping or accounting may be substituted when competency in the position is demonstrated.
• Three to five years of experience in an accounting role with three years of superivsory experience in financial systems, budget, financial reporting, financial data analysis and auditing.
• Knowledge of generally accepted accounting practices and principlas. Knowledge of auditing practice and principles, applicable laws, codes and regulations, experience in accounting computer applications.
• Excellent time management skills with proven ability to meet deadlines and timelines
• Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
• Excellent analytical and computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook) are essential; Excel proficiency required.
• Experience and proficiency using G/L software.
• Payroll and data analytics (statistical analysis) experience preferred.
• Must be able to demonstrate analytical reasoning, critical thinking, as well as a high level of customer orientation.
• Must be self-motivated with a strong sense of urgency.
• Successful performance of pre-employment test required.
