Overview
Supervises a team of Compliance Analysts, ensuring that Paratransit assessments are properly and fairly completed.

This is for proposed business. All offers are contingent upon Transdev's award of the contract.

Responsibilities
  • Acts as the liaison between the disabled community and the organization by supplying clients with information on Paratransit requirements pertaining to services, scheduling, and assistance with use of paratransit services

  • Assists with preparation and submission of reports required by various governmental agencies and representatives

  • Assists with the implementation of the paratransit plan; ensures that each department is in compliance with Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and related laws; works to develop plans to ensure compliance with ADA and ADA Accessibility Guidelines (ADAAG) across all transit properties

  • Works with the community to ensure their understanding of and agreement with the Paratransit Plan and related law

  • Schedule and visit facilities/clients and or paratransit riders/clients to provide information about services and scheduling, hear service concerns or complaints, and discuss upcoming improvements to the services

  • Provides leadership with evaluation of services collected during facility and client visits; prepares monthly reports for supervisor

  • Attends paratransit committee meetings and board meetings

  • Maintains confidentiality of all information

  • Other duties as required.

Qualifications

Education, Licensing, and Certifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field required.

  • Driver’s license in the state of operation required.

Experience, Skills, and Knowledge Required:
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience required.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of ADA and related legal requirements related to public transit.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of functional abilities of persons with disabilities and testing methods.

  • Ability to develop, update, and lead presentations for clients.

  • Strong written and oral communications skills.

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, especially Word and PowerPoint.

  • Travel requirement (as a percent): <5% for occasional travel.

Pre-Employment Requirements:
  • Must submit to a drug test and criminal background check.

Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed; long hours may be required in cases of emergencies or natural disasters.

  • Must be able to work in all types of weather conditions.

  • Some work is accomplished in an office or in a cubicle space equipped with a telephone and computer where the employee is subjected to long periods spent sitting, typing, or looking at a computer screen.
