As we prepare for the grand opening of our brand new state-of-the-art Maintenance and Operations facility, Springfield Area Transit Company, located in scenic western Massachusetts, has an outstanding career opportunity within our management team.
This position will work closely with the Director of Maintenance and assist with providing oversight and direction in the day-to-day maintenance activities for the Pioneer Valley Transit Authority’s vehicle fleet and facilities, including oversight of maintenance employees at two locations.
Must have a very strong maintenance background including at least five (5) years of demonstrated experience in a similar role, preferably within the public transit industry. Must have excellent working knowledge of the mechanics and technologies used in public transit buses and vans and have demonstrated experience with facilities management and capital projects.
