Overview
Ensures that member profiles are properly and fairly completed, maintained and updated. Ensures that paratransit assessments are properly and fairly completed.

This is for proposed business. All offers are contingent upon Transdev's award of the contract.

Responsibilities
  • Be responsible for monitoring utilization of NEMT within the Broker Service Area.

  • Determine the least-costly, medically appropriate transportation method for Members based on clinical documentation and information collected by the Contractor.

  • Ensure that denial notices are accurate and sent timely.

  • Ensure adherence to all HIPAA regulations.

  • Engage in outreach activities to explain the services provided by the Contractor.

  • Act as the Department’s primary contact for NEMT out-of-state travel requests statewide.


Qualifications

Education, Licensing, and Certifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

  • Be actively licensed in the State of Colorado as a Registered Nurse, Licensed Practical Nurse, or an Emergency Medical Technician with Paramedic level Certification.


Experience, Skills, and Knoweldge Required:
  • 1 year or more of customer service experience preferred.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of ADA and related legal requirements related to public transit.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of functional abilities of persons with disabilities and testing methods.

  • Ability to develop, update, and lead presentations for clients.

  • Strong written and oral communications skills.

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, especially Word and PowerPoint Travel requirement (as a percent): <5% for occasional travel.

  • Ability to read, comprehend and understand maps.

  • Ability to read, understand, interpret, and explain transit system operating rules, regulations, policies, phases and routes.

  • Basic math, writing, and computer skills.

  • Ability to communicate via telephone with clear speech and a pleasant phone manner
  • Travel requirement (as a percent): <5% for occasional meetings.


Pre-Employment Requirements:
  • Must submit to drug testing and a background check.


Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed.

  • 100% of work is accomplished indoors and in air conditioned or well ventilated facilities

  • Work is accomplished in an office or in a cubicle space equipped with a telephone and computer.

  • The employee is generally subjected to long periods spent sitting, typing, or looking at a computer screen.
