RFP #24-06 - Hydrogen Facility Upgrades and Microgrid Design Consulting

Monterey-Salinas Transit District (MST) is seeking proposals from qualified and responsible consultants to provide hydrogen facility upgrades and improvements and microgrid design consulting for its Monterey Operations and Maintenance Facility. MST is in the process of fully transitioning its entire fleet of internal combustion engine buses to zero-emission technology to comply with the State of California’s Innovative Clean Transit (ICT) regulation. This transition requires MST to carefully plan the purchase and implementation of zero-emission buses (ZEBs) which include battery electric buses (BEBs) and fuel cell electric buses (FCEBs) – both of which MST will deploy in the coming years.

Consultant Questions Due No later than 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 3, 2024

Proposals Due 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 1, 2024 (Late Submittals Will Not Be Accepted)

Interviews Week of June 10, 2024 (Day and Times to be Pre-Arranged)

Contract Negotiations June – July 2024

MST Board of Directors Award of Contract July 2024
