The LeFlore Group is seeking a full-time assistant project manager. This position is fully remote and based in Whittier, CA. This position may require travel within the state of California. This position will report to the President/CEO.

Responsibilities:

  • This opportunity involves assisting with the management of assigned projects from start to finish. This includes developing proposal and procurement documents, overseeing project delivery, and ensuring the completion of high-quality work within the given timeframe and budget while meeting the client's expectations.

  • Monitor, track, and manage progress on a variety of construction, procurement, and transit projects

    • Become familiar with project contracts, general conditions, and project regulations and guidance

    • Review and give input on project submittals, including project schedules and change order requests

    • Prepare and distribute meeting agendas and minutes for all meetings

    • Draft and manage all stakeholder communications

    • Manage project budgets

    • Facilitate meetings and work sessions with clients

  • Weekly updates to TLG senior staff on the status of all projects

  • Research and understand federal, state, and local regulatory requirements

  • Performs other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor’s degree is required from an accredited college or university.

  • 1-3 years of experience in project management or a similar role

  • Proficiency with standard software programs (MS Office, Zoom, MS Teams, DropBox, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience and understanding of compliance in the public transit industry

  • Project Management Professional Certification

  • 3+ years of project management experience in the public transit industry

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to meet deadlines and take responsibility for projects.

Access, place of work, and working hours:
This is primarily a remote-working role, with irregular in-person meetings. TLG doesn’t have an office. This is a full-time role with standard working hours, 8 AM – 5 PM PST. The applicant will need access to a reliable PC laptop, strong internet connection, and the ability to join video conferences from a quiet, private work environment during standard working hours.

Salary and Contract:
The annual salary for this position is $50,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience. The position will have a 6 month probationary period.
