Operations Supervisor

Mountain Transit is hiring for the full-time position of Operations Supervisor. This job is based in Big Bear. Operations Supervisors provide first line supervision for the daily operations of transit service, direct the work of others within established policies and procedures, and troubleshoot common operations problems.

Wage Range: $32.00 - $48.00 Hourly, Exempt/Salaried

Requirements:

• Experience in leading, working with, and supervising staff.
• Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Experience in utilizing computer programs in Microsoft Suite and to quickly learn Mountain Transit specific operational software.
• Knowledge of principles and practice of transit operations and related traffic laws, ordinances, and regulations.
• Knowledge of safety procedures used in transit operations.
• This position requires frequent driving.
• This position may need to work holidays and weekends.
• A Pre-Employment physical, drug screen, and background check is required.
• Must be a minimum of 21 years of age.
• Must have a current California Drivers License in good standing.
• If not currently commercially licensed, must obtain a valid California Commercial Permit within 15 days of hiring.

Experience:
College level course work or training in supervision of business administration and three years of experience in a supervisory position. Will consider an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
