OPERATIONS AND MAINTENANCE CENTER EXPANSION
DESIGN-BUILD SERVICES (TWO-STEP)


Valley Metro requests interested parties to submit Statements of Qualifications for the Operations and Maintenance Center Expansion Design-Build Services.

PROJECT OVERVIEW
Valley Metro’s Operations and Maintenance Center (OMC) will expand its existing operations and maintenance facilities to support the planned build-out of the regional rail system. The OMC facility is comprised of the Maintenance of Equipment (MOE) Building, the Maintenance of Way (MOW) Building, Service and Cleaning Area, Vehicle Washer, and the Rail Storage Yard. The existing rail vehicle fleet is 50 vehicles. This expansion is intended to accommodate the full fleet size of 90 rail vehicles (a mix of light rail vehicles and streetcars) by 2023. However, due to vehicle delivery schedules, portions of the project shall require completion by November, 2019.

PRE-SUBMITTAL CONFERENCE AND SITE TOUR
A Pre-Submittal Conference will be held on Tuesday, October 24, 2017 at 9:00 – 11:30 A.M. MST at Valley Metro Operations and Maintenance Center, 605 S. 48th Street, Conference Room: Jim Starz, Phoenix, Arizona 85034.

The Site Tour will follow the Pre-Submittal Conference. All Site Tour participants are required to wear their personal protective equipment (safety vest, eye wear, and closed-toe shoes.)

SUBMITTAL DUE DATE
The submittal due date and time is Tuesday, November 21, 2017 by 3:00 P.M. MST. Submittals received after the specified time will not be accepted.

The Request for Qualifications (RFQ) documents are now available for downloading. Interested firms may log in and download the RFQ documents at Valley Metro’s E-Procurement Website https://valleymetro.procureware.com/home.

Questions relating to this solicitation shall be submitted within Valley Metro’s E-Procurement Website, https://valleymetro.procureware.com/home by selecting the Clarifications Tab. Questions will be answered via the E-Procurement Website.

Valley Metro reserves the right to cancel this solicitation or reject any and all submittals.
