REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS
The City of Bangor, Community Connector is requesting sealed proposals (RFP) from qualified businesses and/or DBE firms to provide ADA Complementary Paratransit Service, to include only purchase transportation. As required by Federal regulations, Circular FTA C 4710.1- Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), public entities operating fixed route transit must provide complementary paratransit to persons with disabilities who are unable to use the regular fixed route system. Complementary Paratransit is a separate and district program from State-based MaineCare non-emergency transportation program. Contractor will provide personnel, vehicles, fuel, and maintenance services and related equipment, supplies and facilities for provision of this service to the public.
The contract shall be for 36 month period commencing on or about January 16, 2018 and expiring on January 15, 2021. The City of Bangor reserves the right, upon mutual agreement with the vendor to renew this contract, under all the same terms and conditions, for an additional (2) two-one year periods.
