Request for Proposals (RFP #G081) Study of Best Practices Regarding Alternatives to Traditional Fixed Route Transit Service
Golden Empire Transit District (GET) was formed in July 1973 and is the primary public transportation provider for the Bakersfield Urbanized Area. The District operates 14 fixed routes, 1 limited route, and 1 express route. The District also provides paratransit transportation for ADA-eligible persons (GET-A-Lift). The District operates 19 paratransit vehicles serving approximately 1,300 customers monthly.
Golden Empire Transit District (GET) wishes to retain the services of a firm to review best practices regarding alternatives to traditional fixed route transit service. The purpose is to identify alternative mobility options in the Golden Empire Transit service area.
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that sealed bids are invited by Golden Empire Transit District, for a Study of Best Practices Regarding Alternatives to Traditional Fixed Route Transit Service, all in strict conformance with Contract Documents and Specifications therefore, entitled “Study of Best Practices Regarding Alternatives to Traditional Fixed Route Transit Service” being on file in the offices of the Golden Empire Transit District at 1830 Golden State Avenue, Bakersfield, California.
