JOB SPECIFIC DUTIES: Under the supervision of the Transit Program Manager, performs work at the advanced working level and supervises other professionals to ensure the Transit Program’s financial assets are adequately safeguarded and all financial reporting is accurate and prepared in compliance with all state and federal regulation, including 2 CFR Part 200, the Uniform Administrative Requirements, Cost Principle and Audit Requirements for Federal awards to non-Federal entities. The Transit Grants and Contracts Manager is responsible for the oversight and management of a portfolio of FTA grants awarded to the Department totaling in excess of $300 million. This position ensures the Transit Program has maximized all available funds in each FTA grant prior to initiating grant close-out activities; coordinates with Transit Program Manager and staff in the review of annual applications submitted by subrecipients; ensures the timely submission of grant applications based on available apportionments; and may assist with the preparation of the annual Program of Projects and/or grant applications in the federal grants management system, TRAMS.
