The Southern California Regional Rail Authority (SCRRA), operator of the METROLINK commuter rail system, is seeking a Senior Railroad Civil Engineer. The position requires demonstrated successful experience with project and construction management of capital and public work projects in rail transportation, as well as a high-level of coordination to ensure projects do not disrupt service and are safely implemented. The ideal candidate will have extensive civil or design engineering experience, construction management experience coordinating large projects, familiarity with railroad, commuter or freight rail safety standards, and strong written and communications skills. This person will be a self-starter, possessing the initiative to make decisions, and the ability to coordinate multiple tasks in a multi-disciplinary environment. Requires Bachelor's degree in Engineering and ten-year experiences managing multi-disciplinary engineering construction projects.
