Blue Water Area Transportation Commission

Sealed proposals in duplicate will be received up to and including March 3, 2010 by the Blue Water Area Transportation Commission, 2021 Lapeer Avenue, Port Huron, Michigan, 48060 for the purchase of a minimum of eight (8) and a maximum of sixty five(65) up to twenty nine (29) foot (plus or minus ten percent) low floor or high floor, dedicated CNG, medium duty para-transit coaches, plus options, in accordance with complete specifications and request for proposals as required by the Federal Transit Administration (FTA).

Procurement will be made on a competitively negotiated basis. Evaluation criteria will include, but not be limited to, price; low floor offering; parts availability, documentation and ordering methods; after delivery support systems; desirable servicing and operating characteristics and compatibility with existing equipment.

All coaches subject to this procurement shall be ordered within a sixty (60) month period after award of the contract. Delivery will be made on all coaches no later than twelve (12) months after the issuance of purchase orders.

Blue Water Area Transportation Commission hereby notifies all proposers that it will affirmatively assure that in regard to any Contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, minority business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit proposals in response to this invitation and no proposer will be discriminated against on the basis of race, color, sex, age, handicap, religion, ancestry, martial status, national origin, place of birth, or sexual preference.
